Activities at the Pertamina Digital Hub to monitor all of Pertamina's business operations to ensure operational reliability.

Pertamina's Digitalization: Key to Efficiency, Energy Resilience, and Self-Sufficiency

Jakarta, January 21, 2025 – The digitalization efforts undertaken by PT Pertamina (Persero) across all business lines have significantly strengthened energy resilience throughout the nation. One of the key implementations of Pertamina's digitalization lies in the Pertamina Digital Hub, formerly known as the ‘Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center’ (PIEDCC). Within this single Digital Hub area, the entire energy supply chain, from upstream to downstream, can be effectively monitored in real-time.

The Pertamina Digital Hub’s performance has proven to be effective. It was seen during the energy supply operations over Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 when Pertamina had to fulfill the demand surge from the citizens, both for transportation and other energy-related activities.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, stated that the Pertamina Digital Hub is a crucial part of the company's digital transformation, enabling energy availability assurance, including subsidized fuel, throughout Indonesia.

“All business processes are visible, ensuring seamless operations. Particularly in the distribution segment, we can process approximately 15 million subsidized fuel transactions daily. With digitalization, data processing becomes more accurate and on target,” explained Fadjar.

Fadjar further highlighted that digitalization is a key driver of national energy self-sufficiency through more efficient business management. Pertamina's distribution infrastructure spans the entire country, reaching over 15,000 points, including fuel terminals, LPG and aviation fuel terminals, fuel and LPG sales networks such as petrol stations, LPG agents and bases, as well as the farthest distribution points such as the One Price Fuel program, Pertashops, and the One Village One Outlet (OVOO) initiative as LPG outlets in every village.

“Pertamina has a distribution system, infrastructure network, and technology across Indonesia, all digitally controlled. With digital implementation, we can serve the public more swiftly and accurately,” said Fadjar.

He added that Pertamina’s digitalization efforts not only strengthen energy resilience but also support efficiency. This efficiency is achieved through various initiatives, including digitalization, cost savings, more effective budget management, and additional revenue streams.

“Efficiency plays a critical role in supporting operational effectiveness, positive corporate performance, and realizing Pertamina's vision of becoming a world-class energy company,” concluded Fadjar.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
